Spring ish Happenings

This is Morgans cute cupcake hair for crazy hair day.

Jaxon and I got to spend some time together and went to the zoo.  We saw this cute baby elephant and got to watch the zookeepers feed the elephants.  They just threw out bunches of raw fruits and vegetable and let them go at it.  We were surprised when the baby elephant picked up the WHOLE cantaloupe (rind and all) and fit it in his mouth and ate it.  CRAZY!!
 This kid ♥'s animals!
Jaxon has been home sick for a few days- while he's been feeling yucky he received a CONGRATULATIONS letter telling him he's been accepted into the Accelerated Learning program next year.  It brought a smile to his face - and tears to his sisters because she just loves being in the same school as him!  Can't please everyone I guess - at least they still like each other!

The other day we went to the grocery store and Cannon could not wait to tell me what he learned at our little neighborhood preschool.  It took me a few minutes to figure it out -- see if you are faster then me?!!

We are full of Good News!!

Friday I got soft hearted and fell for a strangers plea.  He said he could fix our dented bumper.  I really felt sorry for him, believed him and he offered a great deal.  So he started fixing it.  I was asked to step on the brake, so I did.  Watching from the mirror.  3 foot flames were seen, a few noises and them in about 5 min he said he was done.  I looked at the bumper it was pretty much black and some green stuff smeared around.  He told me in about an hour it would turn to dust and could be brushed off.   I paid him and off I went.  2 hours later I went to clean off the black and green dust.  Didn't come off.  Looking closer the bumper was burned, and also the new back tail light that Ken just put in because he got a ticket!!  WHAT A DEAL!!  Lesson learned: Don't ever trust a stranger!!!
Sunday morning about 7:30AM we got a phone call from the OPD.  The station roof was down!!  Ken went to look at it and now Monday may be a headache!!
Hope it will be a better week this week.  :)

She did it!

Morgan has her back handspring down and is now up to 3 in a row - I was to slow to get all three!  She's pretty excited!

Good Works

A few nights ago I got on the blog to post something, it was then I realized I was slacking!  We had a fall background and here we are in the middle of winter!  So I spent 3 HOURS putting on that (stupid) snowman and falling snow!  I was so sick of looking at this thing I didn't get to post anything else.  As I sit gazing at this snowman and falling snow I'm still not sure it was worth 3 hours of my time - but oh well - on with life!

One morning I was on the treadmill - not for long mind you!  When I got off I saw this.......

Naughty Doggie!  He chewed the nose right off my Winnie the Pooh angel!  Notice the chew toy right behind him - apparently that wasnt as good as the angel.  Good thing we have another Disney trip in the works or this dog would be in even bigger trouble!

We had scripture study one night and were discussing Words, Works, and Thoughts.  We had everyone write down an example of a good example and bad example of a word, work, and thought.  Morgan was unsure of what a "work" was and asked.  I told her it was an action, something that you did that was good.  And she came up with this.......

Kartwheels!  It cracked me up - not exactly what I was thinking but it did fit what I told her "works" mean!

Cute little Cole

This picture just made me laugh. Debbie and Kendell have told me how Kendell loved to watch tractors and big trucks work. I arrived at my parents house a few weeks ago when they were working on the road. Cole was entertained for quite a while with the big cement truck. Like father like son I guess!

Cole had fun playing in the leaves!
